From Cruise Port: Hobart
This is a great introduction to Tasmania - focusing on it's wilderness, history, nature and local produce.
You will visit Mt. Wellington, Richmond, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, Cascade Brewery and Hobart city all in one day on this unforgettable shore excursion.
After meeting your guide, we will begin exploring Hobart's city streets before summiting (driving) Mt. Wellington for breathtaking views and panoramic pictures. Your guide will drive by Hobart's cherished monuments giving detailed descriptions of their origins.
We stop at Australia's oldest brewery (Cascade
Brewery) to stroll their glorious gardens or sample some local lagers (at own cost).
The journey then passes through Tasmania's farmland and cool climate wine region to the picturesque town of Richmond. We stop at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to hand-feed kangaroos, check out Tasmanian devils and other native Tasmanian animals.
We then journey to Richmond and explore the quaint 19th century streets and learn Tasmania's harsh convict history.
You can choose to be dropped back at the cruise ship terminal or at Salamanca (10 minute walk to
terminal) to explore more of Hobart on your own.
